[OPEN LOW] "A patient is about to leave". I hire a new medic, assign the patient on the new doctor, make him "Code blue", yet the doctor takes someone else in

Just hire a doctor after you get the "A patient is about to leave" notification, and do what I did.
The "after" save is what happened after I did that.

In the same save, you'll notice that janitor Paul Hall from the Adm. Dep. (floor 2) will not be coming to work, even though he's assigned to the night shift.

I added another save in that dir: "a patient is about to leave"
In this save, two patients are about to leave. One of them is "Charles Miller" (he's waiting at level 2); the notification is already received for him. Just setting code blue for him doesn't work. In my mind, this "code blue" should mean that whatever doctor is free first takes him.
If you assign him to doctor Richard Walker (setting code blue not required) he goes in.

For the second patient "Paul Gonzales", the notification will come soon. He's waiting in front of the hematology room, even though there's no medic doing the night shift. I believe this is highly unrealstic, because in real life he'd just go home and come back the next day.
Please consider fixing this big way in which patients work for biochemistry and radiology rooms, because it's too expensive for small hospitals to maintain shifts both at night and during the day.

Also, if you hire a technician for the night shift of the hematology room, there's no way to prioritize Paul Gonzale's blood test. So for example he might waste time taking some else's sample.

so he must do x-rays for multiple body parts; this happens often.

Unrelated, after patients use the Queue Machine, they should be more likely to sit at the closest chair of the entrance to the office where they've been assigned. Especially if there's an Info TV closeby. Not always, but like 90% of the time, they should act in this rational manner.

This would work beautifully for a situation where you have two Waiting Rooms for emergency, at separate floors, but only the bottom floor has a Queue Machine. He queues from this floor, then takes the elevator and sits next to the Doctor's Office where he's been assigned. There might be an Info TV closeby; if there isn't, the doctor calls him in himself.

Hi and thank you for your report.
Upon checking the save files. Here is what i found out.
Paul Gonzales is waiting for lab specialist to deliver the lab sample, but you don't have anyone on the night shift in the lab.
That is why assigning a doctor will not work.
You can either hire Lab specialist on the night shift or or add some new examinations or treatments manually.
We will look, how we can make this clearer. Maybe adding a new patient state for what is the patient waiting.
Janitor did not arrive to work just yet, because there is nothing to clean on Administrative department. When there will be, he will arrive.
If you don't have night clinic open, patient will go home and will not wait with the test.

As for the rest, we thank you for your feedback. We are aware that some things are not realistic as they could be,
but some aspects had to be gamified in order to make the game also fun.
That said the game is still being improved and we try to implement feedback from players, but we are still very small indie studio,
so not all the suggestions will be implemented in the end.

Honestly, to me, this doesn't seem like a game that needs many improvements, from a small indie studio. In its current state, it seems like a 10/10 game from a high-quality studio. You've achieved something amazing. I'd say this is in top 5 best-ever educational games.

Btw, it happened again. Patient is about to leave. OK... I hire a new doctor, and assign the patient that's about to leave to the new doctor. But the new doctor takes someone else in. The patient ends up leaving untreated.

And these ridiculous cases keep happening:
pain, swelling, bruise, yet they don't know the body part so they just send him to do all x-rays

I think I got to why this happens. If you have emergency offices both upstairs and downstairs, if the patient first sits upstairs but the doctors are working only in the offices from the floor below, even when they are free, they won't call him in. He ends up leaving. Like this guy who just did this:

This is probably the same thing as before. When patient is waiting to deliver lab samples or waiting for the result, that has priority and doctor will not call them right away.
We will discuss this with the team how to make it more clear. Probably adding some new text as I mentioned before.

Yes we know about this and is one the things that had to be adjusted for a game. If physical examination would immediately reveal everything, there would not be much need for xray examinations. But our game is very mod friendly and you can try to adjust this to your liking:)
