[OPEN LOW] Report Writing

My ICU doctors no longer go idle but, if they have any downtime, spend their entire day writing reports. I love it, because it allows them to level up very quickly, but probably not quite according to design. I should note I tried randomly sending a patient to the ICU thinking maybe it would break the cycle since they had someone to care for but it had no effect. This same problem occurs for both my day shift and night shift doctor.  Lastly, I should note I'm using a mod in this save, but it is only editing the tweakables. (On an unrelated note, I feel ridiculous sending this save file to you. The ICU where the problem is looks ridiculous as I've barely started to construct it...).

Update: Just opened up a General Surgery department and had the same result - employees write reports all day long if they don't have a patient, only taking brief breaks to use the restroom.

Hi, this is pretty interesting, but could be 'normal' - were these doctors transferred from Emergency by any chance?

The game keeps track of how many patients the doctors have treated and need to write a report about, in this case the doctor at the ICU has 44 pending reports and finishes them over night. That said, we should probably cap the number as it looks as the pending reports can pile up for busy doctors at Emergency (if they don't have enough time at the end of their shift to go through the paperwork).

Interesting! Yes, they were transferred from Emergency. Every doctor I transfer out to any other department seems to become an instant specialist. However, I increased patient numbers by adjusting tweakables so this probably would not be an issue in a normal game.
