Lets play observation: Calling Patients

The last days, you see dozens of streams and lets plays of that awesome game on youtube.
One thing I noticed and which bothers me very much, which might be problematic:

A patient is sitting in the waiting room. A doctor is coming into the room, calling the patient. Now, the patient isn't following the doctor. Instead, the patient waits the entire time, until the doctor is back into his GP's office and waiting behind his desk. In some videos, it took 30 or more ingame minutes until the doctor is back into his office.

Isn't it possible, that the patients follow the doctor immediately?

Isn't part of the problem that the waiting room is too far away from the GP's office?

Well, nope.

Follow the doctor of the top GP office. Once he "contacted" the patient in the waiting room, the patient just waits, until the doctor is back in his office.

It's a simple programming quirk. Patient waits while doctor's "return" script will finish execution and then another script, that ordering patient to move to GP office is started. I guess with a bit of tweaking, this type of problems could be easily solved.
