Approximate recovery time for inpatients
Tue Jun 16, 2020 1:59 am
Hi
I was thinking that would be nice to have an estimate of how long a patient will recover after a procedure or he will be hospitalized. I know it can change depending on several factors, but i believe it's important to have it as a management indicator.

I have noticed that hospitalized patients will be thrown out of the hospital at 8 a.m. if their treatment is completed. People in observation stay there for 8 hours I think and may leave, if disease identified and cured. I am not sure on the latter though.

After waiting for several hours, inpatients will be discharged from the hospital within the “discharge time zone”.
About this "Discharge time zone", in "(Your Steam Folder)\steamapps\common\Project Hospital\ProjectHospital_Data\StreamingAssets\DatabaseTweakables.xml"
It is set as ID="TWEAKABLE_HOSPITALIZATION_RELEASE_START" and ID="TWEAKABLE_HOSPITALIZATION_RELEASE_END".
Since Start is usually set to 8, many patients who meet the waiting time conditions at night will be discharged all at once at 8 am.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure about the "wait time" of patients. Someone needs a closer look...
In any case, if your hospital is well diagnosed and treated, for example, a patient admitted on the 3rd day will be discharged on the 4th day the following day.
If waiting is occurring due to lack of rooms needed for diagnosis or treatment (X-ray room, operating room, Internal medicine treatment room, etc.), discharge will be delayed.
Also, being delayed means that we do not have the capacity to handle one day's patients.
In other words, the delay gets worse with each passing day unless you fix the bottleneck.
