Minimum Hospitalization Time. Empty Minimum Hospitalization Time.

I've been trying to reduce the hospitalization time of game patients so that they don't hog up a bed for days, but I keep having EMT"s transfer collapsed patients to another hospital. What's the minimum time? What's the ideal minimum time?
