Ambulance exclusive entrance

I already seen many hospitals working like here. Mainly public service. They have a door that's forbidden for anyone else but ER incomes. Look at my layout. I wanted to do it here, but I'm sure random patients will use that access, not ER exclusively. So maybe you could create that feature. Would be more realistic. Regular patients don't need to see a man cut in pieces or torn appart after a huge accident.



I tried removing the door from the main service and put an elevator for ER patients to be taken to radiology floors. Problem is that peolpe can still use that elevator to leave the hospital when they're up in the hospital, and now I got the ghost floor elevator bug.



And I'm more broke now, because I needed to build more to be able to get close to what I wanted.

In management mode, paint a stripe of blue access on the corridor just in front of the exclusive door. Works also as an staff exclusive entrance.

In my current play the ambulance door doubles as the main inpatient entrance also, so I can't provide a print of that, but in a previous run I had it exclusive for ambulances, with the same "blue stripe trick", and it worked fine as expected.

A completely restricted door would be nice, however since that's not feasible at this time I've developed this (image included) It's my defacto ambulance entry only door. A double slider, and I've limited access on the elevator to only trauma, surgery and ICU. With relocating the ambulance drop-off nearby the process is seamless, though I do get some other staffers using it a bit as well.

How do you limit access to the elevator?

How do you limit access to the elevator?

well, it doesn't work perfectly, but, I wall-off access to the elevator on floors that I don't want people using it from. It's not perfect, but what I have right now. I have an elevator to the left of the one in the picture to serve the general public and traffic to all floors as well as 2 others in various locations. Limiting access via walls on the ground floor is critical

You can zone elevators as corridors, them "paint" them blue or red in management mode.

yeah, I don't mess too much with that since these areas (floors it serves) are really controlled areas as it is. I don't get any ambulatory patient traffic and since the restriction zoning can be messy, it seems to be working well so I just leave it as is.

We also need a clinic only room marker so that hospitals patients don’t use them.
