[bug repporting] [workflow] Why not use an actual bug repport tool? Empty [bug repporting] [workflow] Why not use an actual bug repport tool?

Hello Guys!

Why not use a real bug repport systeme?

The forum is nice but is getting a bit crowded now and finding if a bug have already been repported or not is getting very hard.

For us it would really improve our ability to repport buge with a structured system.

For you it would improve your work flow as it would be easier to treat bug report triage them etc

I would personally suggest FlySpray https://www.flyspray.org/

I've used it on some project in the past and know quite a lot of team who use it. Conteary to Redmine of some big names like this it very compatible with small teams and have everything that is needed to work properly. Also you can easely host it on you own website as it "only" use PHP and MySQL no need for Ruby Python or anything like it should work on many hosting.

One reason the developers might not want to adopt a bug tracking tool is to reduce administration overhead.

Aside from the work needed to host the tracker, assuming we don't find them a service they could just pay for, there would still be a need of moderation.
